UChicago Group Finalist in “White House Champions of Change Campus Challenge”

Moneythink leader discusses financial planning at Chicago's Woodlawn Charter School

Moneythink (moneythink.org), a University of Chicago RSO co-founded by UChicago students Greg Nance (AB ‘11, Truman Scholar, Gates Cambridge Scholar) and Ted Gonder (AB ‘12), was recently selected as one of 15 finalists (of over 1400 applicants) in the White House Champions of Change Campus Challenge. Moneythink aims to help teach low-income and urban students financial literacy— how to manage money, build a bank account, and how to develop entrepreneurship skills. After three years of hard work in Chicago, the group has evolved into a national student movement for financial literacy and youth empowerment in urban communities across America.

It’s taken a lot of hard work and dedication for these students to get to the “finalist” position; if you’d like to show your support for Moneythink as the competition narrows from 15 finalists to 5 winners, you may do so by voting here!
