SnowChicago
When the first (big) snow fell a couple of weeks ago, student vlogger Lauren took to the quads to reveal what its like when UChicago meets Winter.
Answer: fun and pretty.
You notice it in the classroom, where your classmate sheds new light on Dante by translating the original Italian. You hear it on the Quads, taking in a drum concert as you practice with the Judo Club. You see it in Rockefeller Chapel, viewing an exhibit on the relationship between humans and nature after your meditation class. or you taste it in the dining hall, sampling kosher, Halal, and vegan entrees with your roommates. However you experience it, you feel it the moment you get here: this is where you belong.

The Chicago tradition of using random objects to “hold” shoveled-out parking spaces after it snows. Hilarious.
Make like this bird, pick up a sled, and go to the Mansueto for our favorite incline. You know you want to. (But you’d probably really frighten everyone reading below you, so let’s keep this wintery-dream imaginary).
P.s. DID WE SAY IT WAS SNOWING?
Worried about Chicago’s wintry clime? No need! A new website promotes the collective effervescence of group snow-shoveling (and tells you where the snow plows are on city streets).
