Song lyrics, lovelorn notes and math problems appear on the walls of the University of Chicago’s Regenstein Library, all graffiti left there by students. In some…a chain of comments was left that may not have been seen by the original defacer — but probably served to amuse those who came after. Sometimes the graffiti is literary.

The magazine, modeled after the New Yorker, was published from June 1926 to April 1935 and covered the literary and artistic world in the Second City. There are two substantial collections - one right on campus in the Regenstein Library, the other in the New York Public Library. But the most exciting thing? It’s re-launching next week
