Five Things We’re Looking Forward To
Classes starting again.
Orientation Week. Trips downtown, giant games of capture-the-flag on the main quad, signing up for classes, and getting to know your new friends…not to mention the Bagpipe Procession when you say your goodbyes to your parents and become phoenixes. WE LOVE IT.
Logan. Although the Logan Center had a preliminary opening and loads of events, in the Spring we’re excited to explore it over the coming year. Something tells us that that tower room with views of the city skyline will be juuust perfect for doing our Core readings…
Fall. But, you say, it’s summer?! Crunchy leaves, brisk walks to class through morning air, caramel lattes from Classics Cafe: call us sentimental, but we might actually miss some of that cooler weather.
Noir City: Chicago at Music Box.The Music Box Theatre presents Noir City: Chicago, a week-long festival of film noir.
Fall Formal
Lookin’ fancy at our fall formal, these students danced the night away at the Crystal Gardens at Navy Pier. Who doesn’t want to go to a party with a view of Lake Michigan, the Ferris Wheel and the Chicago skyline?

Sniffly? Head on over to the Fall Wellness Fair and get yourself some goodness. While you relax under the autumn leaves, take part in art projects (decorate your own pumpkin, make a beaded wristband), get a neck and shoulder massage, make-your-own trail mix, have a free hot drink, sit in the drum circle, pet a dog, win the hula hoop and jump rope contests, get a free flu vaccination and much, much more.
Main Quad. 12:00 to 2:00pm. Be there.
