Snapshots from our office.
C-Bench, University of Chicago, 1920s.
From 1903 to 1960 the C Bench was reserved for varsity athletes, and is now a common place for all students to sit between classes, or chalk up advertisements for their favorite club!
We’re saying goodbye to Evan C. today, who will be our very first regional Admissions Counselor - which means he’s moving from our office at UChicago to NYC. Byyyyeeee.
We miss him already.

Greetings From An Admissions Counselor
Grace C. sent this to me from the Golden State, which (from the postcard’s nice little fact sheet) is 158,297 sq miles and has a population of 25,000,000.
Best. Postcard. Ever.
Our awesome Summer Visit Coordinators! #UChicago (Taken with Instagram)
If you’re coming to any of the Summer Information Days, you can meet all of them at once. But otherwise, come and meet a couple at a time…cause they’re great.
Summer Information Days
It’s that time of year again, folks. If you’re coming to one of our SIDs on Friday, let us know! What are they, you ask? Each Summer Information Day will include a campus tour, student panel, and a presentation by an admissions officer discussing academic and student life, the admissions process, and financial aid. The program will begin with registration at 8:00 a.m. and will conclude with refreshments around 1:00 p.m. It’s a great way to kick off a weekend in Hyde Park and the Chicago area!
UChicago Visits You
We understand that not every student gets the chance to visit campus. So we go on the road each year to try to visit you:
- A visit to your high school (August - October)
- A visit to a local college fair
- An Information Session at a local high school, library, hotel, or other venue
Check out where we’re headed, and register for an event here.
