The New Religious Intolerance UChicago’s Center for International Studies will once again be hosting lectures as part of its World Beyond the Headlines series. Past speakers have included Nobel Peace Prize Winner Wangari Maathai and economist Jeffrey Sachs. We at the Admissions Office are particularly looking forward to Martha Nussbaum’s lecture titled ‘The New Religious Intolerance: Overcoming the Politics of Fear in an Anxious Age’. Nussbaum is currently the Ernst Freund Distinguished Service Professor of Law and Ethics here at UChicago.She is a very highly regarded philosopher and always delivers great lectures so look out for her on October 9th.
